MARK OF GLORY
The most asked question on Google is "What should I watch?". That speaks of an apathetic consumeristic culture that desires to be entertained. Here's a better question: "How can I live a life that is worth watching?".
Mark 9:2-9
2 And after six days Jesus took with him Peter and James and John, and led them up a high mountain by themselves.
3 witnesses establish a testimony
A tension between the level of calling & level of comfort
Elevation brings perspective
Significant mountain moments where heaven meets earth - Eden, Sinai, Horeb, Calvary
And he was transfigured before them, 3 and his clothes became radiant, intensely white, as no one on earth could bleach them.
A GLOW UP, Metamorphosis - heaven meeting earth in Jesus.
Isa 1:18 “Come now, let us settle the matter,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they shall be like wool.
4 And there appeared to them Elijah with Moses, and they were talking with Jesus.
No name tags!
Elijah represents the prophets (all that will be), Moses represents the law (all that was)
Revelation: Heaven is coming to earth, not in a place, but in a person.
5 And Peter said to Jesus, “Rabbi, it is good that we are here. Let us make three tents, one for you and one for Moses and one for Elijah.” 6 For he did not know what to say, for they were terrified.
Tent - Tabernacle - contained the presence of God

Application - Zechariah 3:8 who are men symbolic of things to come
7 And a cloud overshadowed them, and a voice came out of the cloud, “This is my beloved Son; listen to him.”
Mark of GLORY - like the cloud on Sinai - heaven invading earth
You don't need to try be smart in His presence, just listen to, hear him.
8 And suddenly, looking around, they no longer saw anyone with them but Jesus only.
When you know who Jesus is, you don't need to see anything or anyone else.
9 And as they were coming down the mountain, he charged them to tell no one what they had seen until the Son of Man had risen from the dead.
They had a vision of what was to come…but the couldn't stay on the mountain
