BAPTISM

Water Baptism

Water Baptism is a public, outward declaration that reflects a personal, inward faith. The word ‘baptise; comes from a Greek word baptise which means to ‘immerse or dip under water’. (Romans 6:1-8; Colossians 2:12,2 ; 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Why Get Baptized?

Every person who has decided to believe in Christ is encouraged to be baptised. In the New Testament as soon as people decided to put their faith in Jesus, they were baptised, and often baptism with the Holy Spirit followed.

Jesus modeled baptism and taught it so this is an act of faith and obedience.

What if...?

The only pre-requisite to baptism is salvation by grace through faith in Jesus. Remember you don’t try to get better before seeking a doctor’s help. You seek help to get better. It’s the same with this journey. Don’t delay this significant, powerful moment.
