Are you in the dark? Seeing a glimmer of light? Walking in the light? We are here to help you:

Follow Jesus

John 8:12 (NIV)

When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Know True Identity

1 Peter 2:9

But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light.

Grow in Freedom

Ephesians 5:8-12 (NIV)

For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of light (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) and find out what pleases the Lord. Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. It is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible—and everything that is illuminated becomes a light

Go Live with Purpose

Matthew 5:14-16 (NIV)

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Move from being in the darkness to being in the light, to being the light.

The key ingredient is the Holy Spirit.

When Jesus started the church, he told his disciples to wait until great power came upon them (Acts 1:8)

We are the vessels (lamp)

The fire is His light

The oil is the anointing of the Holy Spirit

Nothing good comes from trying to be the light without the oil!

When you are filled with the oil of the Spirit (inspired), then you #livelekker - people see your light, and give glory to God!

What decisions do you need to make So that His Kingdom May Come?

CONVICTION - What do you believe?

Proverbs 4:23 (NIV)

Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.

If someone can talk you into it, Someone can talk you out of it!

CONFESSION - What are you saying?

Out of the overflow of the heart the mouth speaks.

Phil 2:14-16 (NIV)

Do everything without grumbling or arguing, so that you may become blameless and pure, “children of God without fault in a warped and crooked generation.” Then you will shine among them like stars in the sky as you hold firmly to the word of life.

CHARACTER - Who are you becoming?

Spirit formed character vs personal striving. Our actions show which spirit is shaping us.

Personality type is not an excuse!

CONTRIBUTION - Where are you sowing?

Spectator, or participator, generous or stingy?

Matthew 6:22-23 (NIV)

“The eye is the lamp of the body. If your eyes are healthy, your whole body will be full of light. But if your eyes are unhealthy, your whole body will be full of darkness.

CALENDAR - How are you spending your time?

Following Jesus is subtraction not addition.

Slow down!

Matthew 11:28-30 (NIV)

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

COMPETENCY - How are you growing in your gifts?

1 Pet 4:10 (NIV)

Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.

For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son he loves, in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins.

Colossians 1:13-14
